The product, in the report: Choo Mee Sip n’ Soft top. Soft silicone top for a baby food pouch. Comes in red, purple, green, and orange.

I purchased the ChooMee Sip n’ Soft top on Amazon about 3 months ago. It’s a soft silicone top for the top of a baby food pouch. My son is 10 months old and has four front teeth. He likes to bite and chew. Well, this evening while having his dinner he bit off almost the entire side of the silicone spout. After noticing him doing a bit too much chewing of his food, I checked his mouth and the baby food pouch and realized he had bitten off the top. I tried retreiving the missing portion and patting his back, but he began gagging and had swallowed the silicone. I’m very concerned that a product marketed and sold for babies 4 months and older is this unsafe. Had I known this could be a problem and the material so easily torn, I would have never given this to my child. I’m very surprised that something that can so easily be a choking hazard is sold specifically as something a child should put in their mouth. This product is a danger and should be removed from the market.
