We file this report to complain the Vtech Stroll & Discover Activity Walker (Model no. 80-505600). We have had this Vtech stroll walker for a few months. I have some concerns with the safty of this product. Yesterday, my almost-1-year old baby’s lip had a minor cut by the edge of the Vtech walker when she walked with this toy and felt down. I don’t recommend this Vtech walker to anyone due to the safty concern.

  3. First aid

Made Jul 22, 2016, sent to the company Aug 3, 2016, published by CPSC Aug 17, 2016

The product, in the report: Interactive learning baby walker has a removable play panel; Frustration Free Packaging means it comes in a plain brown box• Early learning center has 5 piano keys that play music and encourage creativity; wheels work on carpeted and hard floors • Features 2 colorful spinning rollers, 3 shape sorters, and 3 light-up buttons that develop motor skills • Pretend telephone handset and mechanical elements enhance role-play fun; 2 AA batteries are included • Over 70 sing-along songs, music, sound effects and fun phrases; meant for babies and toddlers 9 months to 3 years old

My 8 month old son that crawls, sits, stands, and walks some while holding on to things was walking with this while my mom and I watched when the wheels that were set on slow went a little faster then him. It caused it to tip back on him so he fell and it fell on him. I totally understand that it could tip and fall over so that is not my issue with it. My issue with it is that it cut my son chin when it fell back on him. There is a sharp end on top on the handle that scraped over his chin ripping off skin. I did call customer service to notify them and they stated they’d send me a replacement but of course they kept saying he shouldn’t have been using this as a walker yet. I agree I shouldn’t have but it doesn’t matter how old he is he could still get cut on it. Also this is not stable enough to use for a beginning walker. The detachable toy on the other hand is wonderful. My son loves it and figuring it all out.

  4. No one hurt

Made Jan 7, 2012, sent to the company Jan 17, 2012, published by CPSC Jan 31, 2012

The product, in the report: VTECH Sit to Stand Walker a toy best for children ages 9-36 months designed to help a child develop from a crawler to a walker

VTECH Sit to Stand Learning Walker, Product Number 80-077000. This product states it is best for children ages 9-36 months. My daughter is 9 months of age, has been crawling for over 2 months, has been pulling herself to a standing position for well over a month and can sit from a standing position without assistance. She has a high desire to walk and we thought this would be a wonderful product to help assist her in her mobile desires. She has been supervised 100% of the time during her use of this product. My primary complaints are the this product has no speed control, no mechanism to slow the wheel speeds and without such feature, this product goes forward very quickly, causing my child to fall repeatedly every time she uses it. Additionally, when she does pull herself up to a standing position from the designated standing area using the handle, the toy topples over backward and lands on top of my child. This is not a one-time instance. In my opinion, this product is a danger and hazard to children and should be recalled and restructured to include some kind of speed control mechanism on the wheels (perhaps a slow-click into place feature) and something to prevent this toy from tumbling backward onto children! I no longer allow my daughter to use the walker and have unattached the play panel so she may have some enjoyment from the toy. The company replied with a generic email to my complaint that they would keep the information on file. Seriously? This product poses a danger to children and they’re simply going to keep the information on file? These issues need to be addressed so no other children are hurt.
