My baby was sitting in a “Safety 1st Ready, Set, Walk! DX Developmental Walker” playing with the included toy tray items. Suddenly, her fingers became lodged in the small gap on the spinning four sided toy. It was difficult to get her fingers out, and it left her fingers dented and swollen. Her fingers could have been broken (though, fortunately, they were not!)

the product tips over very easily, my 7 month old grandson was in the walker and as I came into the room he had it up on two wheels starting to tip over but thank goodness his mother grabbed him before it went all the way over. This wasn’t the 1st time either, he has had it leaning over a few times so I went and bought him another walker from a different company. The item states that it has” Sturdy wheels for bare floors or carpets” and “Grip strips help reduce movement on uneven surfaces”, this is so untrue. I was just on their website and there are so many complaints about the same thing happening but they had their babies fall and hit their heads.

The product, in the report: Walker Walker Info 2010 Dorel Juvenile Group , Inc Columbus, IN 47201 Made in China

The consumer’s daughter is eight months old and weighs fourteen pounds. The walker was a gift for his child’s baby shower. 09/30/2015 - The consumer’s daughter was sitting in the walker when it collapsed and, as it turned out later, she suffered a fractured left femur. The child was in her grandfather and mother’s care at the time of the incident.

The child’s mother informed the consumer that his daughter did not cry a lot when the incident happened. When the consumer arrived home a couple of hours later, he noticed that, although with no apparent bruises, he noticed his daughter’s left thigh was a little swollen and noticed her left leg wasn’t kicking. Finding this odd, the consumer took his daughter to Greenville Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room to have her checked out. After his daughter was examined and x-rays were taken, he was informed she had a fractured left femur and that they had to contact the Police Department to rule out child endangerment. They asked the consumer if his child had suffered a fall or otherwise that could have caused the fractured femur. The child’s mother stepped in and informed the Doctor’s about the walker incident. They informed the consumer they would need to investigate the matter to see if the walker could, in fact, cause such injury.

Child endangerment was ruled out since the consumer’s daughter was sent to her home.

The child received a cast and was admitted to the hospital for two to three days. 10/28/2015 - The consumer’s daughter’s cast was removed by Orthopaedic Doctor [REDACTED]The Doctor informed the consumer his child’s femur healed appropriately.

Forensic Doctor [REDACTED] informed the consumer that, for reasons unbeknownst to them and based on the tests they did, they believe the walker caused the injury. The Doctor is to send his report to the Investigator.

The injury occurred approximately after two months of the child sitting on the walker.

The consumer believes this product poses a safety hazard to consumers. The consumer plans on contacting the manufacturer.

The product, in the report: safety 1st disney princess music and lights walker

we purchased a safety 1st disney princess music and lights walker for our daughter when she was 6 months old. the product worked really well for the first few months, then she kept pulling her legs up through the seat and getting them stuck under her inside the seat. this was frustrating for her and us but we would just help her put her legs back through and she would be fine. yesterday 2-26-13 I put her in the walker and she had pulled her legs through into the seat like she has and she stood streight up and fell foward hitting her head on the floor, her head started to swell imediatly and she began to vomit. we rushed to the hospital, she fractured her skull when she hit the floor. I have 2 older kids who never had a single problem with their walkers when they were babies, but then again they were not safety 1st brand either. I have hospital reports and a copy of the ct scan.

The product, in the report: Pooh & Friends Light Up Walker. Green & Tan

my daughter was 4 months old at time of incident i placed her in her walker and adjusted the setting to have her feet reach the ground. since then i have read the instructions which states do not adjust while child is in unit, but i was unaware of that at the time and figured how would i know the approperiate setting for her if she was not in it to see?! so while i was adjusting the chair (turn red knob push in and the legs move up or down) the spring SNAPPED! and pieces broke right off (the plastic) down went my baby, folded right up on her, her legs were bent and she had cuts and bruises and trouble moving them for a few minutes i took pictures of her legs / wounds. i really could not believe what had happened almost like a freak accident but regardless the spring and hard plastic should not have snapped bc my 12lb baby was in the walker! it just doesn’t make sense to me.
