The product, in the report: Kmaier Infant Walkers
My approximately 11-month-old daughter was using the Kmaier infant walker in the normal manner when the walker approached the edge of a step. The walker failed to stop at the edge of the step and tipped forward/downward toward the ground while my daughter was still inside the walker. She did not fall out of the walker. No visible injury occurred.
I am reporting this incident because I subsequently received a recall notice from Target stating that this Kmaier infant walker violates the mandatory safety standard for infant walkers because it can fail to stop at the edge of a step, creating a fall hazard. The incident I experienced appears to be the same hazard described in the recall.
The incident occurred when my daughter was around 11 months old.
