  1. No one hurt

Made May 26, 2021, sent to the company May 28, 2021, published by CPSC Jun 14, 2021

The product, in the report: Infantino - up, up, & away deluxe doorway jumper 4m-walking #203015 Model 203015 UPC 773554030150

My son was in the Infantino up, up, & away deluxe doorway jumper and has been tangled in the straps and has tilted sideways on a few occasions, he was unable to place both feet on the floor and could choke. This product attaches to the top of the doorway molding and you adjust the height to baby’s height, I used mine in my living room to hallway doorway. I started using this product when my son was 6 months and I noticed from the start that the waste area is very wide and rectangular, not holding child in place and leaving a lot of space on sides due to rectangular design. To add the straps are in each four corners of this rectangular waist area, which causes the baby to be unbalanced, tilting left or right and falling sideways in between openings on sides between straps. I have attempted using this jumper multiple times from 6 months until now 10 months and various times my son has tilted sideways and gotten tangled between straps. This last time on May 5th, I turned for only a moment and he was almost choked by straps and stuck in mid air half in and half out, he almost choked or fell out. This jumper is beautiful but very unsafe, my previous jumper never had these issues. And I saw from start this design does not help the child be balanced in the jumper and once using it, it proved to be a very unsafe jumper. It is very concerning as a parent to leave your child in this jumper for any amount of time and if a parent is distracted their child could be hurt seriously with this product. I will no longer use after the last scare and will return to the store. I would like to report to prevent any other babies from being injured with this product.
