The product, in the report: Graco Bumper Jumper. Model Name: Doorway Jumpr, Model No.: 4E02LJG Purchased New. Date of Mfg. 10/21/2017. Graco Children’s Products, Inc. Made in China.
When setting up the Graco Bumper Jumper and testing it before placing a 7mo old baby in it, the strap buckle/clip became free from the tray. After reattaching it several time in both orientations, the same results occurred. Upon further inspection of the bottom of the tray, it was determined that the molded in part of the tray to “capture” the male end of the clip was not molded properly which allowed the clip to come out.
The other strap was fine. However, the design of the product is poor to rely on the clip to hold under the stresses produced by a baby jumping. There should be a more defined connection which would require an action by the consumer to release the clip from the tray.
