The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Dec 4, 2025, sent to the company Dec 9, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 23, 2025

The product, in the report: Toddleroo by North States 26”-42” Supergate Explorer Baby Safety Gate, Gray Plastic

I sliced my index finger open along a hidden edge of a Toddleroo by North States 26”-42” Supergate Explorer Baby Safety Gate, that was purchased from Walmart on August 17, 2025. I was trying to adjust the width when installing it this evening (to use as a dog gate), and cut my finger on the adjuster slide part. I have already had a couple of minor injuries to my fingers from using this gate, but this is the first time I have been cut by it.

The product, in the report: We bought them from Target. Here is the product name and link. My 19-month son fell off inside the playpen made by North States (Toddleroo by North States Superyard Colorplay 6 Panel Freestanding Gate, Toddleroo by North States Superyard Colorplay Baby Gate Extensions and Installation Kit - 4pc). The plastic part of the playpen cut his forehead very deep. He got a lot of bleeding when he fell down and we took him to emergent care immediately. The doctor gave him three stitches. I think this playpen was not safe because it had many hard plastic sharp parts when we examined what exactly happened when he fell down. Please please take a look at their playpen products. We don’t want any kids to have a face cut when they fall down.
