  1. No incident, no one hurt

Made Aug 4, 2025, sent to the company Aug 7, 2025, published by CPSC Aug 21, 2025

The product, in the report: This is listed on Amazon as “Retractable Baby Gates, 41” Extra Tall, 55” Wide Dog Gate, Child Safety Baby Gate, Mesh Dog Gates Indoor and Outdoor Pet Gate for Stairs Doorways Hallways, Grey. It is a Gray Lynndia 55” W x 41” H. It is Hardware Mounted Retractable

I have been looking closely at the retractable baby gates that have been recalled. Our specific brand is marketed for babies and dogs. I have not seen a recall for our brand. I assumed it was safe because it had not been recalled. We have the brand of Lynndia 41” tall and 55” wide child safety and baby gate mesh for stairs doorways hallways. We use this gate to keep our baby away from hazards and the dogs away from each other or the baby. First incident was a dog jumped and was able to get the front legs over the gate which forced it down but the dog was stuck as it couldnt move off of the gate. The more serious incident is when our child was able to push on the gate creating a gap under it and crawled under the gate. If we had not been watching she may have not been able to free herself from under the gate. It also left several choking and drowning hazards very close to her. This gate is installed with hardware into a wooden door frame on each side. We followed all instructions to install correctly. The gate was pulled across the doorway and locked so that it is not movable. No injuries occurred because we noticed baby immediately but she could have been seriously hurt or killed. this product was purchased on Amazon on 9/1/24
