The product, in the report: KidCo child safety gate white
This is the 3rd time in the past year my gates have been replaced my special needs 18 mo old who has LOW tone has been able to remove the bars and this is a very dangerous situation. The company has replaced it two times now however this is a huge safety risk and quality control needs to get involved because a special-needs 18 month old should not be able to just remove the metal bars they are not soldered properly and this is happened now three different times. Yesterday my son was climbing up & it was a very dangerous situation. The bars and sharp edges are very dangerous as well.

The safety pins included in the Kidco Safeway Gate for installation at the top of stairs are completely inadequate. In the installation instructions they list the use of these pins to stop the gate from swinging out over the stairs. However they are improperly positioned and sized in order to perform this function.
Last evening my 3 year old son went to close the gate in our home, located at the top of a stair case. When he pushed the gate shut it jumped the latch and swung out over the stairs. Since he was pushing the gate my son began to fall when the gate swung out. Thankfully I was standing there with him and was able to catch him before he fell down a full flight of stairs.
This product needs to be adjusted as it is unsafe when installed as detailed in the instructions.
