The product, in the report: Cumbor 40.6” Auto Close Safety Baby Gate as seen here Cumbor 40.6” Auto Close Safety Baby Gate, Durable Extra Wide Child Gate for Stairs,Doorways, Easy Walk Thru Dog Gate for House. Includes 4 Wall Cups, 2.75-Inch and 5.5-Inch Extension, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WFZXZXB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_T8GCPJTA46WRDVCY6QKH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
My 9 month old infant was able to defeat the Cumbor 40.6” Auto Close Safety Baby Gate - by using his weight and pulling and then found his way to the staircase where he tumbled down.
Luckily his injuries where minor, but included a a small hairline fracture to their skull.
The gate was secured with the included wall cups, and because it was not directly in front of the stairs we believed this to be in line with the manufacturer recommendations.
However we have found the gate is faulty - and believe the pressure mounts are fundamentally flawed, as a toddler can pull up and towards their body and defeat the gate. This is atleast partially due to the gate loosening through usage.
