I have brought two retractable baby gates from Amazon and both time the locking mechanism for the gate to work properly and safely has broke within a month. When it breaks it leaves the gate loose and possible for toddlers to push them to the point they fall and also makes its for a toddler to climb under them making its possible to get through or get trapped under the gate.
