The product, in the report: Badger Basket Corner Changing Table with Hamper And Basket Color Gray Model 030-08-1665 UPC 046605220108
I recently ordered a Badger Basket corner changing table from Target and received it this morning. As soon as I opened the package to assemble the changing table I noticed a weird but strong chemical smell I wasn’t sure if it was the paint or wood.I immediately opened a window and figured the smell would go away and it was because of the packaging.I then finished and left my home for about 5 hrs when I returned my entire apartment smelled like this chemical smell that I had smelled in the morning. Its 10 oclock now and I had to remove the changing table out of my apartment because im now feeling dizzy and nauseous and I have a bad headache and my boyfriend is experiencing similar symptoms as well.I feel like this product is really unsafe if the manufacturer used some type of chemical in the wood or paint im not sure that caused this strong odor.Im concerned for other mothers as well since im 5 months pregnant and inhaled these fumes from a baby changing table that I trusted was completely safe for me and my baby.I dont think its normal or safe to be selling these types of products with these chemicals.
