The product, in the report: EGO Power + ST6151LB 15in 56-Volt Lithium-ion cordless POWERLOAD string trimmer with aluminum shaft.
2024 EGO Trimmer discharged electric shock to neck after removing the battery. The end of trimmer (Battery side), leaned down to my neck area (27Male) and jolted me to jerk away from exposed battery prongs. Upon further examination, there is a electricity still after battery removal of trimmer device. Further on at retail stores, new model trimmers covered the prong ends with plastics that retract without ever recalling or public notice to 2024 models. Reason for reporting now was the absolute continuous silence since the model was pushed through Amazon prime deals hence why I purchased believing it was carefully made. Additionally young teens were allowed to use it prior to my shock incident leaving me baffled at the danger that was always looming.

The product, in the report: String trimmer, weed wacker
EGO String trimmer. After only one week of ownership and being used twice the guard fell off of the unit. In seems the screws holding the guard in place, didn’t. I tried contacting EGO warranty and after hold for an endless period of time I got a non-native English speaking representative that couldn’t understand the issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that they would call me back. It’s been a week and no response. There were no injuries this time but there very well could be if this is a systematic fault.
