The product, in the report: battery powered liquid transfer pump.
(08/15/2023) The consumer has a safety concern about the product. The battery compartment filled with gas after about three uses. The consumer contacted Wal Mart who sent him a replacement. The same thing happened when using the replacement.
Enclosed is the completed report with photographs of the product and the box it came in. There is no model number. serial number or name of manufacturer. There is a customer service phone number, 833-908-2024 on the box. I called the number and explained the issue. They requested a picture which was sent and they indicated the product must have a defect and sent me a replacement. The replacement pump did the same thing after about three uses, the battery compartment filled with gas. The way I use this product is to place a 5-gallon container of gas on the ground and use the pump to transfer the gas either to a motor vehicle or a boat which entails about a 2ft vertical rise. This is not just an inconvenience but an extremely dangerous situation that can have catastrophic results when used for gasoline especially considering that the on/off switch is part of the battery container.
