The product, in the report: Electric Water Pump
“Dear Grundfos: Shame on you. The pump that accompanies this missive is the 3rd pump that has been installed. It took from August 2010-January 2011 for me to have water pressure in my home. As you know two of the previous pumps were defective and in your arrogance you kept blaming Waterworks and their employee and his skills instead of latent and patent defects in the pumps as well as in the the programming for the comptroller i.e. it not communicating with the pump. This most recent pump, being No. 3, is a catastrophic piece of engineering; with respect to the worst case scenario of what could have happened; and by the graces did not. That the barrier between water and the electrical current propelling the water within your pump was breached. I saw and smelled the almost foot of wire burnt to a crisp inside its “housing”. This took a number of months to occur. That there was no failsafe built into this deadly combination is a crime. YES it is an actual crime as the potential of a fire and it not being contained is an ominous reality and I will inform the fire marshall of this situation as well. There is something inherently wrong with the design and you may not replace it with like and kind fourth pump. I think that would be spelled INTENT. In addition the comptroller needs to be replaced, as it has been overworked attempting to continue to send power with the electrics being depleted in strength and signaling the pump to turn on over and over and over again; The bladder that the ground has been arcing to needs to be replaced as that has to have been damaged. Please confirm that you will be delivering to Waterworks a new pump of a different model and a different series, a major set of apologies and MONEY to them for the hundred man hours or more that has been spent on the mess. I also suggest to you that you need to recall the entire EZ Boost system. I am just a lay person, and I do not know all the technical terms but I certain know what I saw. The emotional distress that this has caused since August, 2010, the personal expense I have endured, the considerations that I have made, the amount of time that has been expended are all in my opinion components ripe for litigation. This needs to be addressed in the most stringent of terms and your responsive reply is expected within twenty-one days from 2/14/12. Cordially, [REDACTED]”
