The product, in the report: Irrigation booster pump
Please see attached invoice and emails. In summary, we had a booster pump that needed to be replaced. It was less than one year old. The irrigation installer said that there was mulch near the air intake that blocked the air from entering the pump. He said he was shocked that a fire had not started since the pumps get so hot when in use that you would get burned if you touched it and that weeds/mulch could be a fire hazard. I asked for the manufacturer information. Please see my emails. I was obviously unhappy about costs but I was very unhappy that they have no warning on these pumps that an adult, child, or pet needs to keep a safe distance to be protected from a severe burn injury. This company supplies many pumps to people in the state of Florida and says that having a warning in the owner’s manual instead of on the unit at all should suffice Someone is going to get injured if they are not forced to take action.
