The product, in the report: leaf blower/vacuum
I had just started to use my Husqvarna BV1200 leaf blower/vacuum to blow leaves away from the garage door of my home. The model has a selector that can be set such that it will vacuum leaves or blow them, before operation I had selected the blowing function. I began blowing the leaves and about 1 minute into the operation I heard a very load crack and then a stinging sensation in the side of my leg. I let go of the trigger and found that the impeller inside the blower had fractured and a piece of the impeller penetrated the case and hit my leg.

The product, in the report: Husqvarna Leaf Blower - Model 125B
This report is relates to the Husqvarna model 125B Leaf blower. After running the product for some time, it was turned off normally using the switch. Later, upon attempting to restart the blower, I noticed that gas was spewing out of the fuel line. I called Husqvarna customer support the next day to find out about a remedy and communicate the safety concern of a fire igniting because of the fuel hitting the hot engine. The gentleman at Husqvarna said this fuel line issue was a common problem caused by ethanol in fuel and there was nothing the company would do besides suggest that the customer find a way to get the unit repaired. It seems the manufacturer should take a more proactive view of this type of safety issue. Even providing a few inches of alcohol resistant tubing would seem to address the problem.
