The product, in the report: GreenWorks24022 12 Amp Corded 2 Speed Blower/Vac Sold by: Amazon.com LLC $39.98 Condition: New

I bought this leaf blower to blow the leaves and cobwebs from my tiny townhouse patio. After a half dozen uses it began to get very, very hot when I’d use it. I knew something was wrong but it was designed in a way not to be taken apart. A use or two later, smoke came out of the plastic housing and it stopped working. It didn’t burn me or hurt anyone. I threw it out having only spent $43.48 on it. The product, in the report: GreenWorks24022 12 Amp Corded 2 Speed Blower/Vac

After using the product for a brief time, I smelled burning plastic. I immediately turned off the blower and could tell the odor was coming from inside the engine compartment. I let it cool down and put it away. The following week I used it again. I again smelled burning plastic. I assumed that because it was new the plastic smell was from that. After a brief time, I saw smoke come from inside the motor and it caught fire a short time later. I immediately unplugged it and set it on the driveway and covered it was a blanket I had in the garage. I threw the item in the trash the following week.
