  1. No one hurt

Made Jul 21, 2011, published by CPSC Sep 9, 2011

The product, in the report: hand held blower

Upon taking the blower out of the shed to prepare to use it he noticed that the unit would not start. He made several attempts to start the blower but it would not start.

When he was finally able to get the blower started he noticed that the gasoline was leaking from a rubber piece which is called the fuel grommet. The blower then shut down and would not power in the on position.

He contacted the firm on 7/21/2011 (representative that he spoke with name is unknown) advised the consumer that if gasoline is left in the unit it would weaken the fuel grommet which cause the blower to leak the gasoline.

The consumer has discontinued the use of the product and is not sure if he will make any attempts to repair it because he feels as if it poses as a severe fire hazard.
