  1. No one hurt

Made Oct 28, 2025, sent to the company Jan 14, 2026, published by CPSC Feb 4, 2026

The product, in the report: Classic Ultrasonic Electronic Indoor Pest Repeller (4-Pack)

On December 31st, 2022, he and his wife went to bed around 11pm. A short time after they were asleep, the smoke alarm went off. He started to check his property to find out where the smoke was coming from, and they realized that the pest repeller device had caught on fire.

It damaged the bathroom where it was plugged in and the vanity area.

He has been trying for two years now to contact the company. He has tried calling and leaving messages, but none responds. He has sent emails, and none replies.

He contacted the Consumer Protection of his state, Wisconsin, and he had a case number, but he followed up with the investigator, and they told him that they had tried to contact the manufacturer, but none called them back.

He demands the manufacturer to stop selling a potentially deathly product. He wants his bathroom fixed or compensation for the damages on his property and putting their lives at risk.
