The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: CountyLine 25-ton log splitter, YTL -016-919 Purchased from Tractor Supply

Tractor Supply 25 ton County Line Log Splitter built by YTL I am writing to complain about the design of the county line log splitter tongue latch. I broke my hand trying to use this device. The instructions say to kick the stand latch but because I have a bad hip I can not do that at age 69. The latch is dangerous. It snaps with such force it broke my hand. It appears the manufacturer and retail know of the design flaw. In fact the CPSC has recieved a similar report 2147393355. I contacted the 1800 number for serivce and they said they could do nothing. I called 4 differenct times over the course of 3 months. I am disappointed in how seriously, or the lack thereof that TSC is taking over this.
