The product, in the report: Pruning shears
Using a brand new pair of pruning shears purchased from Ace Hardware, I was trimming a tree on property I own and while cutting a stubborn small limb I exerted enough force to shear the limb and when it did, the tool rapidly closed in my hand. The problem is that the latch and catch that keep the shear safely closed are located in the area that the thumb rests and when the tool is in use the device acts as a stop and will give your thumb a very severe and painful high leverage pinch. This is a terrible design. Jan 14
