The product, in the report: Yardforce lawn mower YF22-3N1SP-SC / Briggs&Stratton mfg No.: 126M02-0988-F1
When attempting to start mower, starter rope suddenly jerks back, yanking the living hell out of my arm. There was no injury but great potential for injury. This pull-back started last season, summer 2023. I could eventually get the mower to start so continued using it thru the July of this summer, when after starting with great difficulty, plastic pieces fell out from underneath the engine into the blades. There is no longer tension on the pull cord, so can no longer start the engine.

The product, in the report: Yard Force brand YF22-3N1SP-SC model mower
On August 5, 2021, I purchased a Yard Force YF22-3N1SP-SC mower (Serial #2021 03 048814).
For the last year, there have been issues with the gas cap. Specifically, the plastic retaining clip is easily dislodged. The vibrations from the mower would also sometimes cause the cap to loosen, and occasionally fall off. That was a hassle, but I managed to deal with it.
This past weekend, the entire gas cap started to repeatedly pop off the engine, allowing gasoline to spill while the mower was in use - an obvious safety issue. I cannot get the cap to tighten at all - it will now come loose within a minute or two of turning the engine on. This essentially makes the mower inoperable. I took video of the problem, and have included that.
