Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: all briggs straton 163 cc engines red Toro lawnmowers and on Honda too

I bought a lawn mower at home depot about a month ago... When my mower failed to start I realized it has a over fill valve. it more of a port where a tube should go. And was leaking fuel all over the air filter ... at the bottom of the air filter discovered is a slot guess gas is suppose to run off here. My concern is at the 2nd lower part of air filter is the carburetor. if that carburetor ever sparked it could cause a fire. not to mention leaking grass is not good. naturally on a hill with mower on side leaks more gas through this valve. I FEEL THERE SHOULD BE A EITHER A RECALL OR INSTR5UCTED TO GO BACK TO THE 290 CC ENGINE THAT DIDN’T HAVE THIS ISSUE. I FEEL NOT ONLY UNSAFE But feel there should be warnings all over the machine. I went to home depot and this is the same on all the 163 briggs straton engines
