  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Hart 40V mower, Model HLPM11VNM, Serial TM25015N360040, push button start, weighs 65.15lbs, cutting width 20”, battery operated.

I am reporting a serious manufacturing defect and personal safety incident with my Hart 40V mower, Model HLPM11VNM, Serial TM25015N360040, purchased 2 months ago. While operating the mower, I experienced electrical shock sensations through my gloved hands on the handlebars. Following this incident, the mower completely stopped working with no lights or sound, despite testing with two fully charged batteries. I believe this is a factory wiring defect that created a direct electrical shock hazard. I am also aware of existing litigation against Hart/TTI regarding similar wiring defects. Due to this being a documented safety hazard and personal safety incident, I am requesting a full refund of $213.99. I have my original receipt, model number, and serial number available.

The product, in the report: This product is HART 40V brushless mower with an 18 inch deck.

I was using a 40 mower from HART. On about the 5th use it shorted out and shut off. Upon investigating I found the main power wire from the battery dock was pinched and exposed by a screw in the manufacturing process. This short cause my emergency key to stop working and the bail handle now fails to shut off the mower and the battery had to be removed to shut it off. I reached out to HART to get this resolved as it was a clear manufacturer and safety issue as I fear it could catch fire, for weeks now I have been met with delayed responses that I have to force, and now being completely ignored for over a week, they want me to waste a three hour trip to take it to get diagnosed when the issue is evident or pay shipping to get it sent there. I have not been able to cut my grass in weeks because of this. I gave them a formal 48 hour notice to get this resolved or I would take other measures to ensure it does.
