The product, in the report: Earthwise 50220 20-Inch 12-Amp Side Discharge/Mulching/Bagging Electric Lawn Mower
I have the Earthwise 50220 20-Inch 12-Amp Side Discharge/Mulching/Bagging Electric Lawn Mower. And one day it just stopped working. On my unit, the two red (120V) wires that go to a single (undersized) plug had worked loose. Probably because the bracket that held in the resistor in place had broken, evidently a common and dangerous problem according to internet reviews. But... the core problem, and it’s a serious safety problem, is that they used the wrong size plugs for the two heavy gauge wires that carry full voltage and current. I looked, and the other ones are ready to fail also. I’m reporting it to the FTC because it’s a serious danger to users, by the company cheaping out on two small electric parts! These mowers should be recalled and owners advised without delay. The company was of no help when I called them.
