Toro Gas Trimmer, model: 51950 gas grommet or gasket leaks. Trimmer purchased in 2010
The gas tank grommet (or gasket) that holds and seals the gas line tube as it passes through to the gas tank has deteriorated starting in 2013. On first use this season (2014), the grommet is now crumbling; thus allowing gas to freely seep from the gas tank. The leaking gas could be ignited by the hot engine. This is a dangerous flammable situation.
