I was called to investigate a fire that was caused by a Rat Zapper. The product information is as follows which was taken from the Ace Hardware website where the product was bought. Rat Zapper Large Electronic Animal Trap For Rodents 1 pkItem #7365174| Mfr #RZU001-4. The product was being used by a family with a rodent problem. I did notice that the website states that this is an indoor only product and in this instance the product was being used outdoors. There were no injuries but there was a significant amount of damage caused to the exterior of the house.
