The product, in the report: Weed Eater brand hedge trimmer
My electric hedge trimmer was being used to trim shrubs at my home and I took a break. During the break the hedge trimmer started operating itself. I heard the sound and went near the hedge trimmer and found a burnt smell as well. After disconnecting the trimmer I found the smell still persisted. Upon removing the screws to see what had burnt, I found the black on-off switch that gets pressed when you hold down plastic on button is burnt.
If the trimmer were inside it could have caused a fire in the house/garage.
