A year ago my children purchased a Poulan Pro 25cc gas powered tree trimmer at home depot as a gift for me. They also purchased a weed wacker attachment for me. I have used the saw attachment with it’s long pole 3 or 4 times. The unit has a shoulder strap to assist with holding the saw while working overhead-last week I was trimming tree branches overhead while on a 4 foot ladder. The shoulder strap suddenly broke and the saw trimmer dropped and the chain saw almost cut my foot/leg. On examination i found the strap is held together by a plastic clip-poorly made. I attempted to contact Poulan to let them know of the danger of a moving chain saw dropping onto a human limb. unfortunately I was only able to speak with a parts person at their sub-contracting parts outfit and they would not register my concern but offered to sell me a replacement strap for $45.00
