No one hurt Made Sep 6, 2022, sent to the company Sep 9, 2022, published by CPSC Sep 23, 2022
The product, in the report: The “True Temper” wheelbarrow is black and has a capacity of 6 cubic feet. It appears to have a product number of S6BUT25. It has wooden handles that run the length of the wheelbarrow, handles to axle.
Friday, September 2, 2022, my “True Temper” wheelbarrow assembled in the USA from foreign and domestic components and distributed by The AMES Companies, Inc., Camp Hill, PA collapsed. It collapsed under the stationary weight of fence post diggings. The left metal “blade” frame that attaches to the wooden handle/axle assembly slowly bent and the entire wheelbarrow folded to the ground. The wheelbarrow was just over one year old and only slightly used. The metal “blade” frame on the bottom of the barrel itself and attached to the full-length wooden handle/axle assembly simply melted, and the wheelbarrow laid down like a tired cow.

No one hurt Made Aug 30, 2013, sent to the company Sep 26, 2013, published by CPSC Nov 1, 2013
The product, in the report: Full size garden wheel barrel with PLASTIC tub
Was pushing wheel barrow about half filled with mulch. Wheel hit a sudden obstruction on the ground..the resulting jar caused the plastic barrel to pull THRU three of the four bolts connecting the pan of the barrel to the metal frame of the wheelbarrow.
There was no injury but a sudden break and shift of weight could result in a fall and injuries.
I am 65 and not capable of excessive pushing.unit was less than one year old and lightly used.
Design flaw..needs stronger plastic or washers or reinforcements to prevent plastic failure. See photos
