The product, in the report: Toro 5000 Time Cutter
My name is [REDACTED] and I am a retired Special Agent and an attorney living at [REDACTED]. About three days ago I was mowing my lawn with my brand new Toro Time Cutter 5000 riding lawn mower when it caught on fire. I noticed fire under my feat and a row of smoke down the line of field I had just cut. I was able to put the fire out with a hose and the field did not further catch on fire. I was not harmed. Begging on or about May 11, 2018 I had three riding lawn mowers delivered to me all of the same make and model. The first one was manufactured wrong and I returned it. The second one did not work and so I returned immediately to the driver of the truck who delivered it and the third one caught on fire. I purchased all the riding lawn mowers from the Pearland Texas Home Depot. Though I am an attorney I am a criminal defense attorney and not a civil attorney and I am only seeking my money back for a defective product, which I an confident Home Depot will give me. The reason I am writing is that as Special Agent I handled major safety cases and as a military aviator I saw my best friend in flight school die in a needless aviation accident and I want to prevent anyone from getting injured on a Toro. I notified both Toro and Home Depot of the problem. Home Depot has notes detailing the problem s I have had with the Toros. I plan to return the Toro to Home Depot on or about July 10, 2018 in order to get my money back.
