The product, in the report: 0 Turn Mower Model # - 5F248-19KA Serial # - D1701001
0 Turn Mower purchased June 2010.
Wheel lug nuts have come off tire and tire would have come off while he was riding on it if he had not noticed it when he had.
The only reason he noticed that the lug nuts had come off is due to his stopping the mower while cutting grass to pick up some trash and at that time he noticed that the wheel was sitting crooked.
The rim is “walled out” and damaged to the point that nuts cannot be screwed back onto the studs.
Dealers have informed him that the tires on this particular 0 Turn Mower are mounted at the manufacturers and not at the dealers location.
Caller confirms that if the tire had come off while he was mowing a hill it could have thrown the mower off balance causing it to potentially turn over and possibly on top of him.
He would like the public notified of this danger and repair at manufacturer expense stating that he could question if he had ever had to replace a tire (which he hasn’t) but this is from the factory and should not come off this way.
He also would like the nuts on the other wheels checked.
He has only 44 hours use with this mower.
He has not contacted the manufacturer, however the mower is at a repair station, they are contacting the manufacturer.
He will enter serial number at a later date.
