Hurt, no treatment Made Nov 23, 2016, sent to the company Dec 2, 2016, published by CPSC Dec 16, 2016
The product, in the report: Poulon Pro 42” riding tractor, 19 HP Model 96046077 OC Alternate Model PP19A42 Serial 051816A022883
I was using my lawn mower to mulch leaves. The leaves built up under the mower and near the engine. They caught fire from the heat of the engine exhaust pipe. The fire spread to a pile of leaves on the ground under the lawn mower, and on leaves that had accumulated on top of the mower deck. I was unable to easily put the fire out. I backed away from the leaves on the ground, and they continued to burn. There were still leaves up against the engine exhaust and on the mower deck that continued to burn. The fire was too big to easily put out, but I was able to do so by using a garden hose.
