The product, in the report: Poulan Pro Riding Lawn Mower, Model PP20VA46 Product Number 96042088-00. Kept smelling a strong fuel smell around mower. Upon looking under dash where fuel tank is located, the rubber grommet or bushing in fuel for fuel outlet is wet and loose. The bottom of the tank on the mower was bowed down in the center of bottom of tank. Mower operates fine, but strong fuel odor persists. The tank seems to made of a thin gauge of plastic, too thin in my opinion. The fuel tank is part number 532433006. This mower was produced for Poulan Pro by Husqvarna Group. I have a older mower of this same design, a [REDACTED] Riding Mower, again produced by Husqvarna Group also with same issue and it is reported as well. My [REDACTED] mower I purchased new, has same design tank and tank is okay. Not sure if a bad batch of fuel tanks went out, but have a 2013 [REDACTED] with same issue as this 2018 Poulan Pro. This fuel could leak out onto mower and onto area where Riding Mower is parked and provide a ignition source from fuel fumes or fuel itself. These fuel tanks, deserve to be looked at and a fuel tank produced that is made of thicker material to withstand use. I have mowers that are older and plastic tanks are more sturdy.
