The product, in the report: riding lawn mower
Approximately 5 days ago, the consumer was using the mower, when he stopped and saw gas spewing from it.
Upon inspection of the mower, he found that the seam split where the 2 plastic pieces connect, to make the fuel tank. The consumer applied an epoxy to the tank in an attempt to seal the leak, but the gas ate through the epoxy. The consumer discontinued use of the mower.
In past years, he replaced some of the belts (due to normal wear/use), but all of the other parts on the mower, are original.
His mower appears to be included in CPSC Recall Alert# 09-706.
