The product, in the report: Zero-Turn Lawn Mower
The consumer indicates that he was urged to activate the lift, which is done by using both feet on the foot press lever. The consumer states that he should only have to use one foot and not both, and that he should also not have to use so much force to activate the lift. Because of this, the consumer states that the lawn mower exacerbated his varicose veins, his abdominal hernia, and his lower back pain.
The consumer contacted the Manufacturer and explained the situation; he was informed they would place an electronic assist lift however this was not done as the retailer did not have said lift. The consumer was referred to Air Cool Engine where they replaced the lawn mower with a Kawasaki engine.
The consumer indicates that the lawn mower was used approximately five or six times total, and he ceased use of the unit as of 05/2017.
The consumer plans on keeping his lawn mower for the next thirty days in case an investigation ensues.

The product, in the report: 2012 Dixie Chopper 2760W Lawn Mower, with dual 7 gallon fuel tanks
While changing a grass chute cable on my 2012 Dixie Chopper 2760W Mower, I noticed that the cable assembly was chaffing against the plastic fuel tank. It has worn through 1/3 the thickness of the tank wall, creating a serious fire hazard. There was no prior maintenance performed on the mower in this area that I’m aware of. I made a temporary repair protecting the tank from more chaffing and contacted Dixie Chopper, who didn’t seem concerned about the issue.
Both fuel tanks are boxed in with stainless steel, however Dixie Chopper has installed moving parts within the box and in close proximity of the fuel tanks such as Emergency brake lever and cable, Choke cable, Throttle lever and cable, Grass chute lever and cable. In addition, they also have numerous electrical components within the same area.
This whole design is wrong and a fire/explosion hazard! If I hadn’t caught the chaffing in time, a fuel leak might have caught the mower on fire or exploded, seriously causing me harm or death!
I believe this situation should be investigated and the problems rectified before anyone is hurt or killed.
