The product, in the report: Riding lawn mower/tractor

Earlier this year a bought a Columbia riding lawn mower, model #13BPA1KS897. This riding mower has the gasoline fill tube directly over the left side foot rest. On 2 occasions gasoline has spilled out of the gas tank onto my foot to the extent that it soaked my shoe and sock as well as my pant leg. The first time it happened I thought that I had not secured the cap so I read the instructions and re secured the cap with three clicks. It continued to leak, I reread the instructions and learned that it was overfilled with the gasoline in the fill tube so I lowered the level of gasoline and continued using the mower. The second incident which occurred yesterday happened after I filled the tank with the level below the fill tube. I thought I had secured the cap as it clicked. Apparently it was not secure and it leaked over my shoe and the foot rest as I was using the mower. The location and design of the gasoline tank and the fill tube is inherently dangerous, a potential lethal outcome could have occurred had the gasoline ignited. When one secures a gasoline cap it is expected the fill tube will not leak outside the tank especially with a vehicle that rides rough causing gasoline to slosh around its tank.
