The product, in the report: Bradley 52 inch stand-on 27HP BRS Comm model number 52SC-CT27

On or about December 4, 2025, an employee was operating a 52-inch Bradley Stand-On 27HP mower, model number 52SC-CT27, to mow nursery grass when the mower ignited during normal use. The fire created an immediate and serious burn hazard to the operator and resulted in severe bodily injury. The employee sustained third-degree burns to the extremities. On May 12, 2026, a second Bradley mower bearing the same serial number designation also caught fire while being used to cut grass. Although no injuries were reported in the second incident, the recurrence of a fire event involving another mower of the same model designation raises significant concern regarding a potential product-related defect and an ongoing risk of fire, burn injury, and possible loss of control during operation. The second mower had recently been serviced by a third-party provider before the incident. However, because two substantially similar fire incidents occurred involving Bradley mowers with the same model number designation, the product has been removed from service pending further investigation. As a precautionary safety measure, all Bradley mowers in our possession have since been taken out of service due to concern that the product may contain a defect that presents an unreasonable fire hazard to users.
