The product, in the report: DAP Xhose 50 ft. Garden Hose
“Xhose” expandable garden hose was being used by my husband while my daughter was nearby and the hose suddenly exploded with great pressure and not only soaked her but the pressure from the water also hurt her face and scared her.

The product, in the report: Expandable garden hose
The X Hose Pro garden hose is dangerous. I purchased this via the company’s website a month ago. I purchased 2-25 foot sections of hose. Since then I have used the expandable hose according to instructions. As of today both hoses have burst with a powerful force. The fabric on the outside splits and the heavy balloon inside expands and bursts within a matter of seconds. The second hose that burst this morning propelled the rubber into my window almost breaking it. Imagine that rubber had hit someone in the eye. This is a dangerous product that is being advertised and sold all over the country.

No one hurt Made Mar 17, 2014, sent to the company Mar 25, 2014, published by CPSC Apr 8, 2014
The product, in the report: X-Hose - lightweight retracting type of hose. As the water pressure is turned off, the hose shrinks to a smaller size for easy storage. Has an inner elastic rubber hose with an outer protective sheath.
The flexible X-hose failed and exploded, tearing thru the inner and outer jacket. My wife was watering the garden and was not injured. However, if she were closer to the point of failure, it could have resulted in minor injuries. The 50’ X-Hose Pro was only 1 month old and not abused or altered from original manufacturer. When the shut off valve was turned off, the hose swelled at a certain point and exploded. The shut off valve is included and part of the product (not removable.)
Note: I have had two other 25’ X-Hoses that failed in the inner lining, but not exploded like the 50’.

No one hurt Made Sep 19, 2013, sent to the company Sep 26, 2013, published by CPSC Nov 4, 2013
The product, in the report: XHOSE Pro (75 feet in length). Black colored webbing. Website: https://www.xhose.com/pro/
I purchase an XHOSE Pro (75’ length). Product website: https://www.xhose.com/pro/. The product worked fine for two or three times. The next time I used the hose, the webbing ripped open and the inside rubber hose ballooned and exploded with a loud noise like a gun going off. Luckily I noticed a brief disturbance in the flow and looked down a split second before the explosion so that I could prepare myself for the startling sound about to erupt. I don’t know if rubber hose fragments were scattered but will investigate a bit more. Certainly this could also be dangerous if a person, child, or small animal was next to the hose and made contact with it when it ballooned and erupted. I will contact my credit card company and the vendor and seek reimbursement. However, I think this product is faulty and potentially dangerous in a number of respects. I read precautions/instructions before use and followed them.

No one hurt Made Aug 28, 2013, sent to the company Sep 20, 2013, published by CPSC Oct 29, 2013
The product, in the report: Garden Hose 75’ pro model brass fittings
Caller stated that the hose was used on the first day after purchase for approximately 1-2 hours. The following day while her spouse was using it, he noticed that the water pressure became very low and then he saw the hose swelling up like a balloon he immediately dropped the hose on the ground and ran . The hose then exploded into pieces.
She is concerned that if a child had been present it could have caused injury. (8/23/13) The manufacturer was contacted and she was informed that they would send a replacement but did not want her to send them the defective hose, she did not feel that they had any concerns about the incident. She did receive a replacement hose and is concerned product poses a safety hazard. If so, this product should be taken off the market. The product is not included in a recall.
UPDATE FROM CONSUMER: Please review internet complaints regarding those including xhose pro. The complaints are too numerout to count, probably more than 100 for this summer alone. All relate the hoses leaking or exploding within the first few uses. After reading the customer reviwes online I now feel this product is at worst dangerous and at best a complete financial rip off. I have my hose if you would like toe xamine it- I will glady ship it to you. Please review the website: www.asseenontv.com/cleaning/xhose
