The product, in the report: product ID XHOSE75PROBG
I purchased two DAP Xhoses, 75’, in September 2013. The product ID is XHOSE75PROBG. I purchased them because they were advertised as being stronger than the original Xhose.
I unpacked them and followed the directions before the first use. One Xhose literally exploded within ten minutes of the first time I used it and the end connected to the water supply snapped around. No one was near so there were no injuries. The split in the outer black covering is 30 inches and a blue inner tube of 13 inches was blown out of the split.
The second Xhose failed the next day when the water supply had been turned off and the Xhose was retracting. The outer cover did not split, but it appears the inner tube broke and water leaked out of the hose.
The DAP Xhose is an unsafe product. The advertising for the product is false as the Xhose is not strong and failed upon the first use of them.
