The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Scotts Company Earthgro Steer Manure (Scotts Miracle Gro Contact Center Response Ref #[REDACTED])

There is a significant issue with the Scotts Company that manufactures Earthgro Steer Manure, that the company refuses to address or explain. I tried multiple times over many months to resolve with the company, sending them pictures and samples of the rocks, glass, plastic found in their product they advertise as “screened”. I asked for an explanation how the safety of the product itself is compromised, understanding specifically how that debris was introduced multiple times, why the company won’t explain it fully, and a perceived confidence in the product offerings moving forward. My intention was ultimately to help the Scotts Company provide a safe, reliable product for me (and others) to purchase in our geographical location through The Home Depot (San Pedro, CA). Based on their responses it is clear their goal is intentional ambiguity to cover their hazardous product, which after being spread on my lawn as directed, produced cuts on the feet of small children and the family canine. Finally, they preferred to insult me by diverting attention to my having requested a refund as per the terms of their advertised guarantee on products years ago.
