The product, in the report: chain saws

While doing some research on line he came across a recall (see Release #07-040) where the hazard was The chain saws plastic front handle can break during operation. If this occurs, the saw would be difficult to control and poses a risk for lacerations.

In the year of 2007 the consumer indicated that the chain brake and handle both broke while it was in use. He hasn’t made any repairs to the chain saw and has since then placed it up.

While doing some recent research on the internet he discovered the model number that he has and the others listed in the recall all use the same parts.

He contacted the firm on 12/27/2011 and when he spoke with the representative (name not provided) advised the consumer that his model number was not included in the recall and no assistance would be offered.

The consumer stated that the parts are a little costly and he does not plan on making any repairs.
