The product, in the report: lawn and garden tiller
(08/31/2023) The consumer has a safety concern in reference to the product. The engine continues to run but the product doesn’t propel. The consumer had to put the product in neutral to move it. Prior issues when tiller was running correctly; when tilled was engaged in reverse the tires continued to turn, they should not turn while in reverse. This happened 3-4 times prior to the tiller stopping on 8/30/2023 causing me to fall over backwards and swing my feet out of the way so I did not get injured. This is a safety issue as well as the transmission cable not engaging in gear. There were 24,000 tills recalled in 2015 with this same exact issue as mine. I have attached a copy of the recall description.
Prior to the August 31st incident, the tines continued to turn when the product was in reverse, which is not supposed to happen.
The consumer contacted the firm. The product cannot the fixed because parts are no longer being manufactured.
