The product, in the report: H. D. Hudson 27912 Pumpless Sprayer - Tank sprayer for lawn and insects.

On April 29, 2011 I purchased a H. D. Hudson 27912 Pumpless Sprayer (http://www.hdhudson.com/product-search/product-details/?id=43) from Menards in Long Grove, IL. On May 1, 2011 I filled my Hudson 27912 with Ortho Weed B Gon MAX - Weed Killer For Lawns Concentrate (http://www.scotts.com/smg/catalog/productTemplate.jsp?proId=prod70196&itemId=cat50064) then I filled and pressurized the sprayer using a garage hose exactly as in the instruction manual (see URL below for the manual). When the tank was full I removed the hose quick disconnect from the tank and was sprayer with the high pressure solution of Ortho Weed B Gon MAX and water from inside the sprayer. The Ortho Weed B Gon MAX and water solution was released because the check ball was missing from the fill nipple connector. After being sprayer with the contents of the sprayer I took a thorough shower and flushed my eyes. After investigating the active ingredients Ortho Weed B Gon MAX I don’t think there will be any long-term consequences of being sprayer but I could have been using a more caustic or poisonous herbicide/pesticide. My fear is that many of these sprayers could have been manufactured incorrectly and others could be sprayed with poisonous chemicals.
