  1. First aid

Made Aug 10, 2024, sent to the company Aug 14, 2024, published by CPSC Aug 28, 2024

The product, in the report: Greenwood 1.25 Gallon Home and Garden Sprayer with 4 foot hose

I was pumping a sprayer that is advertised for home and garden use to spray weeds and apply sealers which are dangerous chemicals. The hose tube burst as I was pumping and sprayed me on my feet and a bit in my face. This could have ended up in a tragedy if I got sprayed in the eyes. This product is unsafe and the manufacturer and distributor should remove it from the shelves.

Made Mar 14, 2020, sent to the company Mar 23, 2020, published by CPSC Apr 13, 2020

The product, in the report: Garden sprayer that uses a hand pump to pressurize the spray. Made of polyethylene type material. Harbor Freight sells several sizes ranging from 1-4 gallons. A picture of the damaged product is included.

Greenwood Home & Garden Sprayer purchased at Harbor Freight in [REDACTED]. Hand pump, poly ethylene 2-gallon pressure sprayer exploded into many pieces as I was pumping pressure. Being 73 years old, I was not pumping a lot of pressure. The explosion was loud and plastic pieces traveled over 30 feet like shrapnel. I got a cut on my foot and was very relieved that the plastic pieces did not cut my face or eyes. This is an extremely dangerous product!

The product, in the report: 2 Gallon Home & Garden Sprayer with 4 Foot Hose

Two days ago I filled my Greenwood Two Gallon Garden Sprayer with weed killer. Sold by Harbor Freight.. I primed it three or four times and it exploded in my face. I was completely saturated in noxious weed killer. After a shower I then investigated the sprayer. The protective base was blown off and I found a long slit on the bottom edge of the sprayer. My son gave me this sprayer last year. It was used once and stored in the garden shed. I have used sprayers for years and never had anything like this happen.
