The product, in the report: Worx WG650 Electric Snow Thrower
The on-off switch on my Worx WG650 Electric Snow Thrower is designed to be a dead-man style switch with two levers that can be actuated by either the left or right hand. The unit is supposed to shut off whenever you let go of the handles and requires the operator to press a button and then pull either of the handles to turn it back on. This is supposed to prevent the operator from being able to put their hands into the operating portion of the machine while it is running. My unit almost always fails to shut off when I let go of the on-off handles and I usually have to pound my fist on the top of the on-off switch assembly to get it to shut off. Sometimes I have to unplug the unit to get it to shut off. From the review that I have seen on-line, it sounds like this is a very common problem with this unit. Today the right-hand portion of the dead-man lever broke off in my hand, so I will have to call the manufacturer to get a replacement.
