The product, in the report: Single Stage 18” Snow Thrower
Caller purchased 18” snow blower November 2010 but did not use until January 2010 then after use placed it in his garage for storage until next use.
He took it back out of garage in February 2011 because there was a heavy smell of gasoline and noticed that the gas was leaking out of the new snow blower just underneath the carburator.
He took to Toro Master Service Center in [REDACTED] in March 2011 but they declined repair stating that they do not service snow blowers in March & advised him to bring it back during the September/October time frame.
Caller took the snow blower back to the service center around the 11th of October 2011, received a call today October 20th, 2011 iinforming him that the carburator was corroded and needed to be replaced.
Caller would like public to be made aware of the danger with this snow blower and would like for the repair to be at manufacturer expense due to the problem being the same problem as with recalled snow throwers in release# 10-299..
