The product, in the report: simplicity snw 22 9.0 smi ss922ex model # 1696233 single stage snow thrower color orange with a ohv brigg and stratton engine
i just bought a 2013 simplicity single stage snow thrower model # 1696233. i took the unit out of the shipping box and assembled the unit in my garage.when that was completed i filled the unit with oil to the proper level and when i began to stand to the side of the unit filling the gas tank with fuel to my surprise i noticed gasoline spilling out from the concealed engine compartment from the back of the unit.considering this is a brand new machine this is unacceptable, i really do not know at this time what may be causing this problem i will have to take the machine to an authorized simplicity dealer to get fixed.needless to say i did not start the machine since gasoline and a hot engine do not mix. has anyone else reported any incident with this snow thrower model.
