  1. No one hurt

Made Jan 5, 2012, sent to the company Feb 2, 2012, published by CPSC Feb 16, 2012

The product, in the report: 22 inch snow blower

After placing a full tank of gas into the tank and attempting to start it he noticed that the gasoline began to leak out. He turned the machine off and the gasoline continued to leak out until the whole tank drained. There was no gas shut off valve.

He’s not able to determine exactly where the leak is coming from on the machine but believes its near the carburetor. This is an extremely hazardous fire condition and should be recalled.

The machine was used last in 2011 and there was not a failure with the machine at that time.

On 1/4/2012 he contacted the firm and was advised that he would need to take the machine into an authorized dealer and the carburetor is not covered under warranty any longer. The machine is under warranty for 2 years, however the carburetor is only 30 days.

The consumer indicated that he was not going to take the machine to have any repairs done.
